Amazing Women!

I have had the pleasure of working for an organization over the past few months that runs various homes/shelters, and provides housing for people in need. The staff that makes these wheels turn successfully against extremely difficult conditions, are some of the most giving, caring, selfless, and gracious human beings on the planet. I am in awe of the women who are at the hub of this organization. I have seen such dedication, passion, and out and out hustle from these women all for a very large and diverse group of less fortunate people. It is not the gratitude that feeds them, for there is very little, if any. It is hard for someone like me to comprehend. I love the satisfaction of looking at the result of my handiwork. I thrive on the appreciation of those I work for. This is my greed. These women as near as I can tell have none of that. They derive satisfaction from the knowledge they are helping others, and making the world a better place, in small almost undetectable steps. Although I love my labor, theirs truly is a labor of love.

Hi Ces, How did you find my blog? I'm still putting it together! You're fast!
I am honored that you are my first official commenter.

I have my ways. I have a radar! Hahahaha! This is great. Actually I found your blog through my site meter. You should get one. It's helpful. Your favorite music list could almost be mine except for Justin Timberlake. I have never heard him sing.

I don't know how to do a lot of things with this blog yet. Maybe you'll help me with stuff like that.
Justin Timberlake is a current pop star who pumps out silly but catchy pop hits one after another. Mindless claptrap, but I love it, what can I say?

Ces, I do like Kung Fu Hustle. I have it my collection. I don't dislike slapstick, I'm nuetral about it. But I do love musicals, and that is such a cool aspect of that movie.

Thanks for stopping by!

so much bustling to welcome your blog that your first post got overlooked. so let me say that i know what you mean when in the presence of people who 'do good' without expectation or gain. they are angels walking the earth, and i hope you and i, and many many others, are sometimes among their ranks.

:)

RED MOJO said...

KJ, Ha! I was wondering if anyone read that. I agree with you. They are angels.

Ces Adorio said...

I read your post and it actually got me thinking. Indeed there are many people who do good deeds for others' sakes and these people are the reasons why others call themselves blessed.

tracy, our friend wieneke tried to leave a comment but couldn't get past your block of anonymous comments. she is a wonderful woman so you might consider removing the block? unless of course you are avoid someone mean...

Kj & Wieneke, I think I've made the necessary change. I wasn't trying to do anything really. I just left it at default. Thanks for bringing my attention to it.

Hello Red Mojo, here I am - at last hahaha - to welcome you in blogworld. As you understood from my good blogfriends Ces and KJ I could not leave a comment here earlier, but now it is okay. I hope you will have a great time blogging. I myself started active blogging in february 2006 and it is really fun. You get to know all kinds of interesting and nice people all over the (blog)world. Anyway, have fun and I will be back ;-)

RED MOJO said...

Wieneke, Thank you so much for your welcome and your persistance! I don't seem to be able to get to your blog, but I do hope to see you here again. :)

tracy, this will get you to wieneke's blog, but then you'll have to translate from dutch to english. there is an easy software program you can download. if you want info about it, just let me know.

so far you have international visitors to your blog. how about that?!

Thanks for the visit to my blog. I love your intro - it's not so very different from my situation. In my opinion, its not greed to thrive on appreciation for what you do - it's what keeps you in it. Good for you, good for others - a win-win.

RED MOJO said...

KJ, I am amazed by that! It's really cool to think of my blog just flapping around out there everyone on the globe to read, gulp.

CS, Thank you for repaying my visit. You are a very polite blogger. Come see me again sometime ;)
