Identity Established...More Baby Footage

I have determined these are definitely robins. I got a good look at mom when I made this video. You can see them expecting her any minute, they must hear her calling, but the fact that I was there may have prevented her from delivering the food, so I left pretty quickly. I also placed a thick soft dog bed below the nest so if one should fall out, it doesn't land on my hard rocky driveway below.

I love this.

I love that you take the time to record these little lives. I love that you observe without disturbing.

I love that you share them with us.

Thanks.

Yep observe and don't disturb . . difficult I know. Had to barricade the verandah last year to protect the chicks in my hanging basket from brother's with hedge clippers! My they've grown in just a week! I hope all survive, four chicks for one little robin is a lot of mouths to feed!

They look Hungry! - I like the paddidng on the ground idea. So many snuff it by just falling out.

cj, thank you, it is my pleasure to share these adorable creatures.

baino, I would have trouble not interferring if I thought they weren't going to make it.

anon, I'm glad to have made your day. You've made mine enough times!

king jack, I think I've done it!

tsduff, that little guy that falls asleep in the middle of it all is so cute.

quickroute, yes, they do. I was thinking of buying some worms at the bait shop and throwing them on the lawn for the mother to find! The pad might come in handy too! :)

Birds are so much fun...until they poop on you that is.

Oh, that made my day! They remind me of Muppets, especially the second one from the right who is awfully fidgety. There's always one kid in school pictures who is doing something else while the others are holding their pose nicely. (I know because I was that kid.)

My blind wolf used to lie down and hold her mouth open sometimes in hopes that something yummy would drop in. Not worms, but something like cooked meat. She was a very civilized wolf.

Red...they've used a light every year for the past 3 years. They said they checked and it's supposedly okay.

That's pretty much what I do at dinner time, just sit there with my mouth open until my wife puts food in it. I hate it when she gives me worms, though.

ve, The fun does stop there!

heartinsanfrancisco, I'm so glad to return the favor. I had a feeling your were "that" kid.

theweyrd1, that seems like it would terribly disrutptive to the birds, but if you say so...

dorky, Open wide, here comes the train...

Mojo, you would be proud of me. There is a bird nest I found right outside my office door. The first day it freaked me out - the whole beak thing remember. Anyway, slowly I've been able to enjoy the little birds and watched the mother feed them. They are beautiful - especially on my side of the window. :o) I'm getting better with birds! This is an accomplishment!

Welcome to the King Jack Appreciation Society, Red Mojo! BWARK!!

I like those babies, they look cuter than Anon's niece. She doesn't look like she's going to EVER grow feathers and makes a loud wailing noise! BWARK!

charlotta-love, I'm glad you're finally coming to your senses!

Jack, thanks for your warm welcome. You are right, those babies are much cuter than the human ones. Don't tell anyone I said that.
