Hello-Goodbye

I was going to do a post about 2007. I started to compose two lists, one of "Crap I hated" and the other of "magical moments" I wasn't far into this process when I recognized that this was far too depressing an undertaking, and quickly abandoned the idea.

Instead, I will simply share with you that I am writing this blog on a new laptop. My not very old one bit the dust two days before Christmas, and has to be sent somewhere far away, for a very long time, to be repaired. I am less than happy about spending the money. That said, I will need all of you to send back your virtual presents, I simply can't afford to be that generous anymore. I'm sorry, but they all must go back immediately! Noooo, you can keep them, I was just kidding. I can get a second job nights, pole dancing to raise the cash I need. My dogs have been practicing a "who's on first?" routine, they hope to do downtown on weekends, I got some crap for Christmas I can sell on ebay, and my dear old mom is scrubbing floors at night and on weekends.

2008 is going to be wonderful, I can feel it my bones. Something big is coming! I feel optimistic and I have made many of the resolutions on my resolution generator. I added: I will cut down on my use of the f-word in a non-romantic way before breakfast. So I think that's really going to help!

Happy New Year Everyone! I do hope it is the best so far, for everyone.

Ohh, the "f" word in a non-romantic way before breakfast.

I'm hooked. Tell me more.

With a resolution like that, can sainthood be far behind?

I'm not sending my Xmas present back, but I have in return and to help you a few things for your doggies and your poor old floor scrubbing mom.

Oh Dear.

I just got lost in Weeworld and can't make the fireworks STOP!

Agree, here's to a MUCH BETTER 2008 Red Mojo! You should have stopped pole dancing by then ...

Oh you just crack me up! Hahahah!

Oooh! I'll have to get cracking on my virtual thank-you card.

North Pole dancing to work off that Christmas debt..?

heart, i only make resolution i can keep. Note I said, "cut down".

wieneke, thank you for those, my dogs should be happy, and my mom's toothbrush was starting to show signs of wear.

Anon, Do you like me weemee? It actually looks a lot like me. Maybe you should resolve to not set off so many fireworks, in a non-romantic way, this year.

ces, glad i could make you laugh, that was my intention. shhh.

craig d, yes, i hear the elves really like tall women, and are pretty good tippers. Then I have to try to sell the cookies they give me on the black market. It's exhausting.

rm, here's wishing you every reason to romantically use the 'f' word before, during and after breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a late night snack.

and here's wishing you a centered full peaceful 2008 with just the right flow to it.

:)

I'm contemplating an hour drive to legally purchase fireworks, legally drive them back to Georgia, then illegally set them off...it's only illegal since we are in a drought. I loved your fireworks! absolutely burn safe! Here's to a great new year. btw: I love that you changed from your santa hat to the new year bbbPpllltttt toy...whatever it's called.

RED MOJO said...

kj, Cheers to that! I hope I have lots of cause to use it in the romantic sense as well. I'm glad you enjoyed the fireworks, now we'll see how you like my lasagna.

charlotta-love, don't get caught, with the illeagal portion that is. Have a very Happy New Year, thanks for noticing my bbbPpllltttt! I love that name.

Whew, I was starting to cry about having to return my virtual gift. So what kind of laptop did you get?

tsduff said...

Well, that's a relief... I was having trouble letting go of my new virtual camera after all that! Tell you what - when I bring home the real McCoy, I'll send back the virtual gift. A lap top is next on my list... my computer at home is still miserably busted and I've had to stoop to using the Bear's laptop. It's degrading and humiliating. bah. Happy New Year!

ps: I love your blog template - and your kitty. It is the only kind I like - being virtual and all.

You certainly do find some great things to add to your blog....love the resolution helper and the fireworks display....fun, fun, fun!!!

Hope all your dreams for 2008 come true for you RM....:)

cs, I'm so glad I didn't have to make you cry. I got a Sony Vaio FZ, basically the same as my old one, but this one has Vista instead of XP which is taking some getting used to, and a built in camera, which I don't intend to use.

tsduff, I hope you get your new camera soon, not that I need your virtual one, I just want you to have it. I love mine!

boo7, You're back! I'm glad you were entertained. I hope you have a very Happy New Year as well. I'm feeling pretty happy about leaving '07 behind.

Oh, you gave me a scare, I would hate to part with Star Gazer. Come to think of it, you've given me two scares, my laptop has been making threatening noises lately.

One of my Christmas presents was some "Love Soap"...using it and the appropriate words is supposed to bring you to your soulmate in 60 days. If it works, I'll let you know (but don't start counting just yet cause I have to leave town next week and flight regulations prohibit the transport of used bars of soap).

Not sad to see 2007 out the door either, but 08 is going to be great-and we'll all be sick of the word great by the end of it.

debra kay, Give up Star Gazer? Never! That's a great name. I think it's great you named your virtual pony. So, you think 2008 is gonna be great? me too. Sick of great, why? Because it rhymes?
I still think it's gonna be great, so great, we should celebrate, try to lose some weight, do you believe in fate? Well please don't hesitate, use your love soap to find a mate, if it works, then please relate, and send it to me fast, don't be late. You see, i'd like a date, nine or higher she should rate, if that's shallow please don't hate, it's a genetic personality trait. Did you say that you were straight? We're at the starting gate, of the year 2008! I simply just can't wait!

oh rm, that is one terrific poem!!
